Dr. Carl Philippe Gionet
Whether as a soloist, collaborative pianist, or pedagogue, Carl Philippe Gionet is in high demand, mainly in Europe and Canada. After completing his doctorate in piano performance at the Université de Montréal, he received specialized training in collaborative piano in Austria and England, with the generous support of the Sylva-Gelber Music Foundation. He has participated in numerous prestigious programs such as the Heidelberg Lied Akademie with Thomas Hampson, Britten-Pears Young Artists and the Académie musicale de Villecroze, among others. Founder of Musique sur mer en Acadie, he has been a collaborative piano professor and vocal coach at Breno Italy International Music Academy (BIIMA) and at COSA-Canada. Carl is also a visual artist (Galerie ART-ARTISTE) and a writer. His first book, Icare (Icarus), nominated for the Prix Antonine-Maillet Acadie-Vie, and his translation of The Incredible Adventures of Mary Jane Mosquito by Cree author Tomson Highway, are both published by Prise de parole.
